Free Storyboard Masterclass on Feb 22nd

Francesca "Chess" Adams
On Thursday February 22nd Escape Studios in London is hosting Blue Zoo storyboard artist Francesca "Chess" Adams, who will be talking about her work as a storyboard artist on TV series such as "Digby Dragon"

Storyboarding is one of the most interesting parts of the pre-production process. It's where drawing meets storytelling.
A great board artist needs to draw well, to understand cameras, cutting, characters, emotions, and acting. And, of course, to work with the director in determining the look and feel of the project.

It's also an area where there is a skills shortage - good board artists are very much in demand.

The storyboard process starts with drawings, but increasingly board artists are using new tech such as Panelforge and Storyboarder,  free software that helps to speed up the process and get faster, better results.

This "Evening with..." event is also a chance for students to catch up with industry professionals, find out how the industry works. Escape Studios even offer free beer and pizza.

Where and when?
The event takes place on the evening of Thursday 22nd February at 6.30 pm at Escape Studios' Shepherds Bush campus.
