Why Animation Jobs Go Fast

chrisoatley.com
Below is a link to an excellent blog post by animation artist Chris Oatley at chrisoatley.com on animation jobs.

Why do so many jobs seem to be gone as soon as you apply - especially that elusive first job? The answer is, according to Chris, because candidates don't apply fast enough.

Jobs go fast, and by fast Chris means - super fast.  So, get ready to apply within 24 hours of seeing the job advertised. This means you have to be ready and poised to apply long before the job posting goes up.  Your CV, your demo reel, your blog and/or website - everything must be in place in advance.
