The key thing to remember is that our industry remains largely focused on family entertainment, and most companies hiring junior talent are looking for animators who can create fun, entertaining scenes that are suitable for a family audience.

Adult Animation is still a minority sport
Of course, shows like South Park and networks like Adult Swim have broadened the market, but most animated projects in our business are still rated G or PG. So, when you are thinking about animating a new shot for your reel, our advice is to keep it clean.
Landing your first job
Remember that to land your first job you will likely have to get past recruiters and HR folks who may have a limited tolerance for crude jokes. Keep it clean, and you greatly improve your chances of landing your first role in the business.
