Smashcut
The online taster is delivered through the Smashcut platform, costs just £25, and takes under 6 hours to complete. What are you doing between now and New Year's Eve? Watching movies? Why not spend a day learning the fundamentals of VFX instead?

Learn the basics of CG lighting |
Students will be able to work on a project throughout the course, and then have the opportunity to upload their work at the end of the course, and receive feedback from an Escape Studios tutor.

3D VFX Online Taster Course
Our 3D VFX Taster Course is hosted online at the Smashcut platform. The course is aimed at students who want to study online, and start working on the skills needed to break into the visual effects industry.
VFX Fundamentals
The 3D Online VFX Taster is designed for beginners. The course teaches basi skills including the fundamentals of industry-standard software Autodesk Maya, as well as basic techniques in modelling, texturing, lighting and rendering. The course is hosted and delivered in conjunction with Smashcut, an online learning platform. Students are given an introduction on how to use Smashcut, and technical support is available through the platform throughout the course.
