Our First Online MA Animation Graduates! Yay!

Graduation Day at Buckinghamshire New University
Our very first online MA students will be graduating in September.  Graduation Day at Buckinghamshire New University (our degree-awarding partner) takes place in early September, and we are especially proud to welcome our new MAs in Animation.

Of course, the event is something of a formality - no-one actually has to turn up, but we hope that many students will come and celebrate their achievement - graduating as Masters of Arts on the world's first online MA in Animation. There might even be a celebratory lunch!

And, in a small way, everyone there will be making a little piece of animation history.

Graduation at Bucks. Lecturers get to dress up in silly robes
What happens on Graduation Day at Bucks?
Buckinghamshire New University organises graduation for all their students over the course of a week. It's a big event, and we will be just a small part of it.

For those who attend, they get a glass of wine and some nibbles, a piece of paper, and the chance to hear a (hopefully) inspiring speech from someone who has graduated from the university, made it the world, and earned their right to pass on their wisdom.

Who is graduating?
Graduating this year is our very first animation cohort. I'm proud to say that everyone made it to the finishing line, and everyone passed. Many congratulations to Stephen Young, Neil Whitman, Sydney Padua, Alexi Balian, Tim Millson, Wallace Kariuki, Priyanka Chitnis, and Charlie "Dutch" Falconi.

You are our first graduates, and all now have the right to add the letters "MA" after your names. Well done to you all.

Many others will follow in your footsteps, but you will always be the first.

And, if we can organise a lunch on the day, it will be the first time we will all actually meet in person.
