Animation Taster Days at Escape Studios on January 13 and 25

Fancy trying out 3D animation for a day? I'm running two Animation Taster Days at Escape Studios in Shepherd's Bush, London on January 13 and 25.  Taster Days are a great chance to come and learn about character and creature animation.

The purpose of an animation taster day to give future animators an idea of what it's like to work in the  industry, and find out if this is a career that's right for them.

You will work with Autodesk Maya and the Adobe Creative Suite, and you’ll get a hands-on introduction to 3D Animation techniques, all for just £25. By the end of the day you'll have your own piece of animation uploaded to your YouTube channel.  So, how do you sign up?

What's this all about?
This one-day taster course gives you get an introduction to the art of 3D Animation. You will also explore what it’s like to work as a professional animator.  I'll take you through the animation process from start to finish, ending up with a finished movie file.

When and where is it happening?
January 13 and 25 2017 at Escape Studios, Shepherds West, Rockley Road, London W14 0DA. The day runs from 9:30am until 5pm. To sign up, follow this link.

Escape is easy to reach, just a short walk from Shepherd's Bush Tube Station, Shepherd's Bush Market Tube Station, Goldhawk Rd Tube Station, and Shepherd's Bush Overground. And tons of bus routes.

They do! Lunch (the finest sandwiches in Shepherd's Bush) and coffee is free!

We'll be doing some very cool stuff in the classroom, and by the end of the day you will have your very own piece of finished animation uploaded to YouTube!

Who is teaching it?
I am. I have worked on over twenty five animated feature films, from "Who Framed Roger Rabbit?" to "Lion King", The Iron Giant, Chronicles of Narnia and Harry Potter.   You can see some of my work below.
