Our brand-new online MA in 3D animation (the first of its kind anywhere in the world) has only been up and running for a few months now, but we are already starting to see some excellent results. The short clip above was created by MA student Neil Whitman, and shows perfectly how important it is for animators not only to master the technical side of our craft, but also to entertain an audience. Neil does this perfectly, creating an imaginative use of different walk cycles to create an interesting and funny story.
The Online MA is a partnership with Buckinghamshire New University, delivering practical real-world animation skills in an academic environment. Study with us and you won't just learn the academic side of animation - you will also learn to become a professional animator. There isn't a course anywhere in the world that is anything like it.
To see more about how the course works, follow this link. And to see some excellent quadruped animation below also done by one of our online students, watch the short video below.
However, don't think that you need to know how to animate before you start the course - you don't. We teach all our students from scratch, beginning with the basics of CG animation and gradually progressing to professional level.
You will also need to have completed an undergraduate degree, or equivalent, but it need not be in animation.
