It goes without saying that a trip to Bordeaux is rarely wasted, the chance to try the local wines alone would be enough to get me there in a hurry. France's Atlantic coast is one of her greatest splendours, longer (and arguably more beautiful) than the Mediterranean coastline - and much less visited.
