Blue Zoo Summer Internships

Applications for Blue Zoo's summer internship roles are now open. The 6-8 week paid placements are "like a real job but without the demands & expectations, allowing participants to develop and learn how a big animation studio works and real projects are run".

Blue Zoo describe this is as "an incredible opportunity for artists with no experience (such as 2nd Year University students) to learn from professionals, hone their skills and build vital connections to give their careers a kick-start."

What is this about?
Blue Zoo's internship programme runs every Summer to give opportunity to those seeking a “foot-in-the-door” into the animation industry.

Who are internships for?
Internships are "ideal for those who have zero professional experience but have entry level knowledge, such as those in 2nd year of University studying animation, who are chomping-at-the-bit to gain industry experience."

Will intern work get used on production?
There is "no expectation that the work interns produce will be used in production, they are there to learn about how an animation studio works, advance their skills and make connections."

Is it paid?
Yes. Each role will get paid the Living Wage of £270 a week.

How many internships are on offer?
This year there are four. To apply for an internship in Maya Animation, Modelling, CG Generalist or Rigging head over to our website: https://jobs.blue-zoo.co.uk/
